At 4.30PM I logged off my computer at work, wished those who were still at the office a nice weekend and ran down to the basement to change into my cycling clothes. I tossed my good old red Giro helmet on my head, quickly pressed the six Velcro straps of my Shimano sandals against my feet, and sped home on the skinny wheels to be out for a short ride on the chubby wheels. I had less that two hours of daylight to climb into the hills, so I was in a hurry to take off on the A9C to enjoy the colorful autumn forests. Damn, is it nice out there! I picked a route with lots of singletrack up to Magglingen, took a couple of photos along the way, then tried one of the many downhill trails carved into the hillside by those armored dudes on fullies. The trail was fun on my rigid, but quite dangerous as it was quickly getting dark. All in all a super ride that included a singletrack uphill which I’ll include in my all singletrack Chasseral loop.
